The journey of Shine Boxing Academy began in 2010, when Mrs. Rama Arunkumar — a dedicated social activist and founder of Silver Springs School in Chennai, renowned for its inclusive educational system — was approached by Mr. Muthu and Mr. Deepak seeking sponsorship for a grassroots boxing championship. Inspired by their commitment to discovering and nurturing raw talent, she embraced their vision and became the academy’s first supporter.

This spark soon grew into a movement, as socially conscious individuals like Bhaskar, Palani, Anandh, Elumalai, Elangovan, Rajakumar, and Murali came forward to strengthen the cause. Together, they built a foundation to support financially underprivileged but athletically gifted youth.

With expert training guided by Coach Mr. Senthil, Shine Boxing Academy has become a launchpad for many young athletes — some of whom have gone on to win State, National, and International medals, and secured government jobs through the sports quota.

To identify, support, and train underprivileged yet exceptionally talented young boxers — with a long-term focus on preparing them for the Olympics and global championships over the next 5 to 10 years.

To break the barriers between money and talent by offering professional training, resources, and mentoring to youth from economically challenged backgrounds — enabling them to dream bigger, fight harder, and achieve greater heights.

Many of our students have proudly represented their state and country, bringing home accolades and earning placements under the sports quota in government services — proving that talent, when supported, can transform lives.
